Cambridge Voices aims to develop young learners into cinfident, collaborative communicators. The course focuses on the oracy skills students need to Express themselves artulately and effectively in today’s world.
This book is based on comprehensive oracy skills framework which breaks students’ skills down into physical, cognitive and social-emotional competencies which are mapped with can-do statements by level.
Embedded oracy practice is included in skills pages where the target pracy skills is presented via an animated video. Cue cards provide the functional language students need to complete the task.
Students encounter each oracy skill multiple times across the levels, extending and building on their knowledge through repetition and extension.
Oracy performance tasks at the end of units 1 to 3 enable students to demonstrate the skills they have learned. Students then self assess after each task to reflect on their achievements and their learning needs.
